Rebecca Frazier

Rebecca Frazier is an NYC based Director, Choreographer and Teaching Artist. She recently choreographed the regional premiere of Escape to Margaritaville at Timber Lake Playhouse, and her other directing and choreographing credits include Off Broadway, New York and regional theater work. She was a featured choreographer at the New York Theater Barn Choreography Lab and has choreographed music videos, films, presented work at venues like Dixon Place and the Tank in NYC, and had a dance
installation featured in the Foosaner Art Museum in Melbourne, FL.
Currently. She has guest taught at Tap Dance Detroit and the Salt City Dance Festival, and all over the tristate area,
including the Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey Convention, Thrive Dance CT, Breaking
Ground Dance Center, In Motion, Essential Elements, and Eastside Dance Company. Rebecca became PBT certified in Fall of 2021.
In New York, Rebecca assisted Jeff Shade’s musical theater classes both at Steps on Broadway and Marymount Manhattan College. Rebecca is a member of Actor’s Equity and has performed in regional theaters all over the country and in New York City, in shows like West Side Story, Cabaret, Evita, My Fair Lady, Shrek the Musical, and more.
Rebecca trained at the Albany Dance Institute under David Otto, a former soloist at New York
City Ballet, and one of the last dancers to be selected for the company by George Balanchine. Rebecca was selected by NYCB children’s ballet mistress Garielle Whittle to perform children’s roles during the NYCB summer residence at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Rebecca then received additional training at the Ballet Regent School in Saratoga Springs, from former NYCB Michael Steele. As a young teen, Rebecca performed corps de ballet roles for the Albany Berkshire Ballet. Rebecca’s teaching style is rooted in athleticism, practicality and musicality, and students love working on Rebecca’s fun and challenging musical theater combinations in addition to her athletic and intuitive approach to ballet classes. Rebecca teaches ballet, pointe, jazz, and musical theater to dancers of all levels! Rebecca is available to teach groups and private lessons, and tailors each class to each studio’s specific requests!
